The corporate tax law will apply to all companies registered in the UAE, including free zones. The UAE Corporate tax will be implemented for businesses in the UAE for the fiscal year beginning on or after 1 June 2023.
As long as they abide by all free zone rules and regulations and don't conduct any business with mainland firms, corporate tax will be levied at 0% on the taxable income (adjusted net profit) of businesses operating in the free zones; otherwise, 9% corporate tax may be applied to taxable income (adjusted net profit) over AED 375,000.
